This elegant centrepiece also takes its inspiration from stars and stripes and marries beautifully the deep linear "stripe" cuts with the intricate diamond cutting of the "stars". George Washington's love of the land and farming is represented by the "sheafs" springing from the fertile earth up at intervals around the bowl.
